Mumbai, 31st October: Padmavati, one of the most awaited releases of 2017 has been in the news ever since its announcement. While the official trailer has broken all previous records crossing over 50 million views on digital platforms like Youtube & Facebook, the recently launched Ghoomar song has received over 25 million on Youtube.
Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions announce the 3D release of Padmavati, worldwide. The magnum opus is the biggest Bollywood release in 3D across the world.
Padmavati narrates the tale of the fierce Queen of Mewar, Rani Padmavati, who was known for her beauty & valor, Maharawal Ratan Singh, the brave Rajput ruler and Sultan Alauddin Khilji, the invader. Sanjay Leela Bhansali became the first Indian to direct an opera in Paris and Rome with “Padmavati”. The opera made its debut at the 51st Spoleto festival, and will now be retold in the form of a visual extravaganza in 3D.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati stars Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmavati & Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh. The film releases worldwide on December 1, 2017.
