Literary Symposium held on novel ‘ Kagad Kalam Na Likhanhar’


Under the aegis of Acharyakul and ‘Samwaad Sahitya Manch’ , a literary
discussion was held at Gandhi Smarak Bhawan, Sector-16, Chandigarh on the
novel ‘Kagad Kalam Na Likhanhaar, penned down by renowned Hindi novelist
Dr. Ajay Sharma.
Dr. Ajay Sharma has so far written 10 novels, out of which two novels are
prescribed in GNDU, Amritsar and Punjabi University, Patiala. 25 M.phils and 2
Phds have been successfully completed till date.
Literary critic Prem Vij, said that Dr. Ajay Sharma has uniquely exposed the
troublesome system of journalism and he is a success in doing that
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Harmohinder Singh Bedi ( Retired HOD, GNDU)
said that the novel successfully paints the gruesome picture of present day
journalism. Journalism which was once a passion has now become a pure
business. The reins of journalism are now in the hands of capitalists and they
have changed the face of the present day journalism.
Simar Sidosh discussed the various new trends and practices that form an
integral part of the novel. Anil Pandey quotes abstracts from the novel and
explains them through various characters.
Sushil Hasrat Narelvi interacted with the audience in his poetic style.
Eminent scholar and writer Varinder Mehndirata concluded the session with
his remarkable inputs.
Manoj singh, Simar Sidosh, Anil Pandey, Pragya Sharda, Devraj Tyagi, Shashi
Prabha. Omprakash Sondhi, Sangeeta Pukhraj, Rashim Sharma, Lalita Puri,
Vijay Kapoor, Anil Kaushik, Raj Vij, Arun Nathani, Rashim Kharbanda, Balbir
Tanha, Surjit Suman, Kanchan Tyagi, Jagmohan Kaur were among the literary
luminaries who graced the occasion. The stage was presided by Dr. Daljeet
Kaur and Pragya Sharda.
